We all start somewhere, especially if you are self thaught like me. These are my very first fonts which I produced when learning FontLab some years ago. I was full of experimental lust and eager to get something out there. Some of these fonts were part of the Umbrella Collection at Veer and I sold a few copies. Today I’ve pulled these off the market, so they are not available to buy anywhere. But, in case someone should want to play around with them I offer them for free.

They come with an easy to read License Agreement which you automatically agree to if you download or use the fonts, so please read it first.

Download Autostyler (1 style)
Download Navelfluff (2 styles)
Download Trentor (3 styles)
Download Trentor Inline (3 styles)
Download Trentor Script (1 style)

All fonts come as OpenType fonts for Mac/PC.

The typeface Siri is a labour of love. A love for a Scandinavian tradition that we try our damnedest to keep evolving. A love for letters, original and bold, practical and beautiful. A love for the craft that helps create practical and beautiful typography.

With its wide range of 16 styles, useful OpenType-features and four stylistic sets, Siri is well prepared for anything you wish to use it for. It has great readability, a large x-height, slightly condensed letter forms and a strong identity. These features makes it work over a wide selection of applications on both screen and print.

Siri is a female Nordic name, comprising the words Beauty and Strength. Siri is also the name of my daughter.

Some typefaces defy classification. These rare birds come from a space beyond man’s ability to label and categorize. Satura was born in that unusual place. Yet its origins are not so foreign that it’s overtly strange or illegible. In fact, Satura's gentle curves and transitions are rather appealing, as if you’ve seen them before. But there has never been a face or family quite like this.

A creative collaboration between Göran Söderström (Stockholm) and Peter Bruhn (Malmö), Satura began with Göran’s concept for a reversed contrast typeface — one in which the horizontal strokes are heavy, rather than the more traditional vertical stress. Sparked by these ideas, Peter responded with his own thoughts. For months, the design bounced back and forth over the Nordic intertubes until the summer of 2010 when the friends met in Malmö to complete the project in person. Type design is most often a solitary undertaking, so perhaps it is this dialogue between the two Swedes that makes Satura so unique.

Derived from a Latin word meaning “mixed dish”, the Satura Suite is four related, but distinct, families: Satura, the mother, a display face with reversed contrast; Satura Parts, a stencil version; Satura Core, the contrast removed, revealing the design’s basic structure; and Satura Text, a more conventional and readable interpretation, suitable for smaller and longer text. Each family includes multiple weights. Satura Text adds italics. But expect the style range to grow in the future — Satura is a living project.

After doing the Meadow family I felt the need to do a slightly more condensed version of the typeface. A version that saves a little space but has the same character. Meadow Condensed works well on its own or as a family member. Character sets are identical, finish and quality is the same, it's just narrower to make room for more words.

Meadow Condensed is well suited for strong headlines all the way down to small size settings.

Lettering for a new band I was a member of. It didn’t quite fit the band, but I was rather happy with it anyway. Perhaps I will make a typeface out of it someday.

SEB Basic is the new typeface for Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB, (SEB) and is conceptually based on the single weight typeface SEB Basic DemiBold by Carl-Fredrik Hultenheim. SEB Basic DemiBold has always been an important part of SEB's graphic identity so therefore it was important to stay within the concept. The old typeface had however both aestethic and functional problems looking at it with eyes of today.

First the Regular style was designed with a corresponding Italic. The new Medium style replaced the old DemiBold and Light, Bold and ExtraBold also became part of the family.

The SEB Basic family contains OpenType features such as small caps, different numeral systems and case sensitive forms. The typeface also include a large number of symbols/pictograms for use in different applications. An extensive language support was also important as SEB have offices in many countries. A typeface manual demonstrating OpenType-features and typographic recommendations followed the delivery.

SEB Basic Web with a reduced character set was also produced for use on websites.

Designed 2009 at Pangea design.

ICA had various digital versions of their logotype. All were different digitizations from Rune Monö’s original drawing (1963). ICA wanted a new version which was going to be a perfect digitization to replace all previous versions. At first I wanted to do a more optical version of the logotype where the geometrics could be replaced by a little more optical handling of the C and the join between C and A, but it was decided that the original drawing must be followed. The drawing was then carefully analysed and the logotype was rebuilt from scratch with correct bezier curves.

Created for ICA at Pangea design, 2009.

FF Dagny is a strong redesign of DN Grotesk which was designed in 2002 for Dagens Nyheter, a swedish major newspaper. For the FontFont Library several adjustments were made, the contrast in stroke thickness was reduced for even better legibility in small sizes, and a lot of characters were redesigned together with the FontFont TypeDepartment. True italics were designed and more weights were added to the family, aswell as better language support.

Dagny Web
The Dagny family is also available as high quality web fonts, and works very well on screen.
